Just restored my Hammond synchronous postal telegraph clock. This book was extremely useful; pictures and narrative covered every step. I highly recommend this book for anyone considering restoring this type of clock.

have used it to repair Hammond clocks - I have six or eight of them - and for an amateur - this book served my needs.

Easy to read, good photographs, clear explanations. Fun to work with. I would have rated five stars if I could find precise instructions on how to align the motor stators around the rotor upon reassembling the clock. Took me a while to figure that out.The book describes the American versions (110V / 60z) and though my European clock (230V / 50z) is a little bit different I could follow all the instructions well.

Good book. I followed the directions and successfully repaired a sealed Hammond clock motor. And then I disassembled the rest of the clock for cleaning and re-lubrication. Excellent book.
